Founder of Grief Circles - Center for Mindfulness, Compassion and Community for Grief, Yasemin Isler’s interdisciplinary research and work bring together grief and contemplative traditions, human development, Western and Eastern psychology, culture, resilience, growth and stress response.

Yasemin is a seasoned and certified Mindfulness and compassion teacher, scholar and mentor, certified end-of-life doula professional, certified integrative thanatologist and hospice volunteer.

Trained by teachers in Theravada and Zen traditions, she has extensive training and numerous certifications in teaching a variety of mindfulness programs.

She is full time faculty at Lesley University’s Mindfulness Studies Master’s Program, senior teacher at Harvard Medical school - CHA Center for Mindfulness and Compassion, mindfulness teacher trainer and mentor.

In addition to full time core academic teaching, Yasemin Isler teaches and creates programs for resilience, stress management, emotional well being, embodied presence, wise living with balance, working and education, and if you so choose, awakening to your life. She brings theory, science and practice of mindfulness, compassion and related modalities into her work as a grief guide, life transitions coach, mindfulness and meditation teacher trainer and mentor.

Since 2014, Yasemin has been offering grief and loss support based on her MCCG curriculum and mindful grief circles. She started both programs in order to support those living with illness, caregiving, bereavement or all grief and loss, as well as marginalized populations.
